I am grateful that we have better forensics so that rape cases can move past he said/she said and be proven by actual evidence.

Which is not to say I discount women's testimonies. It's just that formerly, that's all a woman had. Now she has a doctor's report as well.

It was not rape, even though she was too drunk to remember what happened that night. If she was too drunk to remember, she was too drunk to consent.

These two dirtbags should not be held as representative of the NYPD. They brutalized a helpless woman to satisfy their own cravings. I hope they get effective life sentences, in Supermax.

It's a genuinely outrageous crime. A vomiting drunk is dangerously intoxicated and in danger of their life. The police owed it to her to "protect and serve". To have done nothing would have been bad enough. But their conduct, on top of being a major crime of itself, was done under circumstances that aggravated the risk to her life.

Lower the boom.

In my little corner of the world, public servants are supposed to represent the idea of chivalry. I don't know where I could have gotten that idea.
